Open Arms CCDC of Ashburn, is currently accepting applications for 2's teachers.
An Open Arms Lead Teacher will provide developmental care and supervision to
children at the center through the implementation of age appropriate curriculum
and activities for children.
Lead teachers will establish and maintain supportive relationships with
children and parents as they model appropriate childcare practices for their students.
Specific Areas of Responsibility
- Plan, adapt, and schedule using the center's curriculum involving
activities to stimulate children's cognitive skills, abilities and development.
- Provide continuous supervision to children enrolled in the center ensuring
health and safety of the children.
- Maintain center, rooms, and play areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
- Set up rooms for various activities such as lunch, naps, games, etc.
- Record observations of children's behavior and activities for regular
assessment and parental feedback.
- Maintain accurate substitute folder, attendance, and enrollment records.
- Monitor children for signs of abuse and report incidents of suspected
abuse to the authorities.
- Comply with all State Licensing regulations.
- Comply with all Open Arms Staff and Parent Policies.
- Obtain and submit documentation of 16 hours of annual training hours.
- Participate and assist with special events (parent conferences, holiday
celebrations, etc.)
- Update posted room information (mat charts, allergies, daily schedules,
emergency data).
- Other job related duties as required.
